Everything Checked...

...Ready To Go!

It is not that far now from the expected due date for AKS#3 to come out from his or her ibu's womb into this uncertain world of ours.

Going through the checklist of all the things that mad redo1 needs to bring to the hospital when the time comes:

the Huggies newborn diapers, check;

towels, check;

baby clothes and accessories, check;

Linda's lucky shirt, check;

a copy of Four Four Two magazine, check;

the medical record book, check;

What else?

Oh yes, the mother who is going to deliver AKS #3, check.

Without her, how are we going to deliver AKS #3, right?

It is good for Berg to be a good samaritan, helping unwell people crossing the streets.

By the way, Linda is feeling better nowadays with her HB count is just below ten which should prevent her from suffering from excessive bleeding during delivery. Even the food she consumes stay inside which makes her doubly happy.

But the driver of this Proton Wira would not be so happy having to pay substantial amount in order to get the car fixed.

The road in front of the two hyper-markets is getting busier by the day and drivers have to be extra careful especially with vehicles coming out from the lanes around them.

Futsal...

..on New Year's Day (Chinese that is)

The Terengganu Football Fans Club, GanuSoccer.Net organised a quadrangular futsal tournament today with the kT and kL chapters of GSN joined by Permin Jaya and MyViT (Terengganu MyVi Owner Club) at the Gong Badak Sports Planet.

mad redo1 of course would not let the opportunity to play slip away just like that. He played for GSN-kT which surprised a lot of people by winning the tournament after recording two wins and a draw.

WuHoo!

For the record GSN-kT drew 4-4 with Permin Jaya, thrashed GSN-kL BY 6-1 before defeating MyViT 2-1 in the last match.

If mad redo1 is a Chinese then he would have believed it is an auspicious start to the year of the ox.

The Worden...

...Returns!

In a move to get the season back on track, the Terengganu FA made a surprise signing during the international break, though it has nothing to do with the playing staff.

Seasoned coach, Ken Worden has been hired by the TFA, replacing local Mohamad Nik as the Head Coach. The Malaysian football scene is nothing new for the like-able Aussie, with four stints as Selangor coach in 1991, 1994 to 1996, 2002 to 2003 and lastly in the middle of the 2004 season.

There was also a brief spell in Sabah for Worden when he took over in mid-season from local coach, Justin Ganai in the 1999 season.

He took charge of the Malaysian national team in 1992 and coached them until 1993. He left the FAM after achieving successes in a few tournaments that Malaysia featured when another team offered better pay for his services.

With Malaysian football hitting another low after the humiliating 5-0 home defeat at the hands of the UAE in the Asian Cup qualifier, many football fans are united in belief that the Malaysian League are flooded with amateurs masquarading as professional footballers.

With fitness is one of the many factors that contribute to the defeat, Malaysian footballers will have to work hard to prove that they are worth the money the fans paid for to watch them play. Failing to do that they might as well strut their stuff in the morning of a working day, as nobody will give a damn anymore.

However, the appointment of Worden as their coach, Terengganu players can expect a more professional approach in preparing them for the upcoming matches.

As for the fans they could be forgiven for expecting better football played by the Turtles when the season commences in February, played by a more committed set of players.

For mad redo1, he just can't wait!

Welcome to Terengganu, Kenneth Joseph Worden!

Moral Support...

...at Netball Festival.

After a flurry of entries during the recently concluded Kuala Terengganu Parliament seat by-election, suddenly mad redo1 went off the boil. It seems posting eleven entries in twelve days is a bit too much for him, forcing him to take a breather.

So much for being a blogger 'tegar', right?

Fortunately, it did not require any hospitalisation and neither did Linda after this episode of not feeling well. Though she did went to the hospital and after having two bottles of sodium chloride tranfused into her, Linda did get better, albeit just slightly.

Anyway, today Berg managed to do what mad redo1 failed to do during his primary school years, and that is to represent the school in a sports competition.

mad redo1 was a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to sports, discovering that playing football is as much fun as cycling around the kampung with his friends, only when he was in standard six. He did however fell in love with Arsenal much earlier than that.

So back to the present, the Kuala Terengganu Schools Sports Council hold their annual netball festival today at the Chendering Secondary School. Despite the monsoon created havoc in the coach's plan to prepare the team during the school holidays, Berg and her friends put up credible performances by winning two of their three matches to qualify for the last eight.

They will enter the knock-out phase tomorrow and mad redo1 is hoping that he would be able to show his support for AKS#1, who unfortunately spent her time mostly on the bench, I think much due to choosing the wrong position to play rather than her ability.

It would be a proud moment for mad redo1 to see Berg entering the pitch to play but only if she deserves to rather than the coach feeling sorry for her not able to show her stuff in front of her daddy.

Hopefully she will earn her place soon.

Go Berg!

A few shots from other matches during the festival.

Matches between secondary schools were more exciting as many players have developed their abilities and in the process of realising their potentials.

Behind every shot there is one coach feeling his/her heart stops beating... just like the one above. The coach was the one in maroon.

The weather was just great for sports!
